Rebecca Jefferson has devoted herself to improving the lives or her patients and clients through physical fitness. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Personal Trainer Rebecca developed Ribonz to offer cardiovascular conditioning, strength building and core training to individuals regardless of age or ability. Ribonz is currently patent-pending and being offered regionally, gaining proven results. In addition, professional music and video production has been completed to reach a broader audience and fulfill inquiries from several interested nursing homes, medical facilities, gymnasiums and school systems.

Rebecca's career path was chosen sadly because of a tragic accident on a country road in West Virginia. Her beloved Aunt Pat's path was forever changed by a drunk driver. A dedicated volunteer and registered nurse weeks away from retiring, Pat was severely head injured in a car accident when Rebecca was eleven years old. While the prognosis was touch and go for many months, Pat eventually emerged from her comatose state. After spending nine months on a respirator and undergoing numerous surgeries Pat recovered enough to begin physical therapy. The reason for her recovery was due to the tireless efforts of her therapists.

At age eleven, Rebecca realized her goal was to improve the lives of others and mirror the efforts made by those therapists caring for Pat. At that moment Rebecca realized her career and life would be dedicated to helping others.

Through her medical and physical training background, Rebecca Jefferson has developed a specific program to benefit all participants regardless of age or ability. Ribonz, a patent-pending, all encompassing exercise routine, utilizes a selection of five pairs of hand-held, color-coded light weights to build strength and cardiovascular endurance while challenging the user to maintain proper range of motion by implementing attached coordinated ribbons. These devices offer important components of beneficial exercise and can be accomplished in either a seated or standing position. In addition, the colorful equipment accompanied by the inspirational music engages the participant and allows focus throughout the experience.

Ribonz is a fun, stimulating class that combines three classes into one. Participants build cardiovascular fitness while developing upper body strengthening and core control similar to what a person would gain in a Pilates class. An extremely unique benefit of Ribonz is it can be done standing, seated or even while lying in bed. These choices allow for many other participants to enjoy Ribonz and gain a cardio fat-burning class even if they face a physical disability. The colorful ribbons have even offered stimulation to those battling minor mental disabilities.

Today, Rebecca continues her work as a Physical Therapist and markets the Ribonz program to numerous organizations. Currently, Rebecca is in the process of developing her website and working with inquiries interested in offering Ribonz. In addition, Rebecca is also working toward a certification program that would allow other group fitness instructors, gym teachers and therapist to become certified in teaching Ribonz so that every individual can experience the benefits of Ribonz.
