Top Recruiting Expert Says Mix of Marketing, PR and Social Media Will Help Recruiting, Staffing & HR

A proactive combination of traditional publicity, Social Media and marketing can help play a pivitoal role in recruiting, staffing and Human Resources as the economy slowly rebounds in 2010.

2010 is the year for Recruiting, Staffing and Human Resource Professionals to spread their marketing wings and grow their organizations.

That’s according to Mike Ramer, an international trainer for the search and recruitment industry. Ramer is the founder and President of Ramer Search Consultants in New Jersey (www.RamerGroup.com). He says professionals in these three areas must combine a mix of traditional media, Social Media and marketing in order to gain traction in a slow economy.

According to Ramer, “Most people working in these fields are just now starting to consider or venture into Social Media and developing an online presence. They are very much behind the curve in this marketing approach, which sets them up for revenue losses, decreased credibility and visibility. It’s ok to use the old standard marketing tools if they are effective, such as direct mail or printed materials. But press releases, media interviews, video blogs, Social Networking and interactive websites must be included in marketing and PR plans for the new year. This can make or break a company.”

Ramer is co-hosting a two-hour webinar on the topic with Susan Young, President of Get in Front Communications, Inc. (www.getinfrontcommunications.com and www.getinfrontblogging.com) Young is a news and communications expert.
