At Cuero Community Hospital you will find warm and friendly faces providing healthcare to those in need. This attitude comes from a management style born of long-term working managers allowing employees the freedom to mold their careers around their lives, and not the other way around. This freedom of self management shared by many departments makes for a successful recruitment and retention rate with low employee turnover.
From the patient perspective, when you see the smiling faces of your healthcare provider it helps speed up the healing process with a sense of spiritual rejuvenation in a confident atmosphere.
The challenges of this rural hospital in the last 10 years have been lessened with the help of numerous foundations with the most local being the DeWitt Medical Foundation. With technology moving so quickly, CCH must continually provide quality imaging without the limitations of a normal rural hospital. Through numerous grants and personal gifts, the special way this community gives back to the hospital makes it the true “community” hospital it is. With the finest of digital PACS equipment, 64 slice CT, 3D ultrasound and almost instantaneous report turnaround patients feel certain their provider has access to their images and reports regardless of where they might have traveled from.
With the recent addition of the Outpatient Physical Therapy and MRI Expansion project, CCH proves it has room for growth. The Open MRI system by Philips Medical reflects the latest in open MRI technology. In this suite, the Ambient Experience portrays a “living walls” environment for patients to choose their sights and sounds during their exam time.
CCH is currently remodeling the Mammography department with the gift of a generous family through its Medical Foundation. When completed in summer 2010, Digital Mammography, Bone Densitometry and clinical x-ray services in Cuero will now be provided in a spa-like environment.
